Not all jobs have to be a part of a service, sometimes you may want to complete a job on an ad hoc basis.

In Senta you can either configure a brand new job that you want to use on ad hoc basis or you can choose from one of the existing job templates.

To kick off an ad hoc job for a client, open up their page and click on Start ad hoc job from the Work tab.

This will allow you to select which job you would like to start, for example the Payroll job.

When you start an ad hoc job, you will be able to manually set the job date

Senta will set the job date to the current date as a default, however, if you want to pick a different job date you can do so by editing the job date field.

Once you have made your selection, click on Start job

Senta will kick off the job for you and the job will be added to the jobs section in the Work tab.

You will also notice a pointing hand icon which means that the job has been created manually.

Kicking off ad hoc jobs for many clients at once

Sometimes you might want to kick off an ad hoc job for multiple clients at once, as a one-off. There is a quick and easy way to do this using the client list.

Please note, this will only kick off ad hoc jobs for your clients. If you want to turn on services for many clients at once, please see the following guide: adding services in bulk.

All you have to do is open up your client list and tick to select the clients you want to kick off the job for.

From here, click Actions > Start ad hoc job.

Select the job and job date from the dropdown menus, then click Start job.
