To enable any integrations in Senta, go to Settings > General Settings > Extras.
Once you have turned on the Companies House integration, all Ltd Companies and LLPs will have a new "Companies House" tab. From here you can add a company number by clicking "Edit" at the top left.
You can also add clients straight into Senta from Companies House. Just click on Clients > Add from Companies House.
From here you can search for companies by name or company number.
You can then choose whether to add a company as a prospect or as a client.
Once you have done this, all of they key company information will be displayed on the Companies House tab. Senta can use key dates from this tab to automatically trigger accounts production and confirmation statement jobs for your clients. You can also import any documents from Companies House straight into Senta.
When you enable FreeAgent and authorise Senta to sync with it, a new "Sync with FreeAgent" option will be available from the "Clients" menu. A FreeAgent tab will also be added to all client records. Here you'll be able to view P&L and Balance Sheets from your FreeAgent clients.
This tab has a field called FreeAgent subdomain, which you can update after clicking "Edit". You can find the subdomain on your client records in FreeAgent, and if you add this to the field in Senta, Senta uses it to hook into FA and grab client data.
If you perform a sync from FreeAgent, Senta goes to FreeAgent and gets a list of all the clients that are on your FreeAgent portal. Senta then goes through the list, checking each entry to see if we have that client on Senta already. It does this by comparing the FreeAgent subdomain.
If there is a subdomain present on any client in Senta, it will not be copied over. If the subdomain is not present on any client in Senta, it will be copied over.
After enabling GoCardless from the General settings menu, follow the instructions that will appear to generate an 'Access token' from your GoCardless account.
Once this is done Senta will be able to read information from your GoCardless account. A GoCardless tab will also be added to all client records. From this tab you can add the reference ID for that client - you can find this reference ID on the client's record on your GoCardless account:
Once the number is added, GoCardless will pull the payment history for that client, with live links to take you through to individual payment items on your GoCardless account.

Quickbooks offers 2 levels of integration: practice-level, and client-level.
Practice-level is for when your practice uses QBO for your own accounting, so every client in Senta should correspond to a customer in QBO.
You will first connect Senta to your own QBO instance, and this will add a “Sales ledger” tab to every client in Senta.
Then, to connect each client/customer, you can either
- Bulk add by clicking on Clients > Sync from QBO
- Go into an existing client in Senta, and then “Choose customer” on the Sales Ledger tab
Once the client/customer link is created, the Sales Ledger tab will then pull through real time info on outstanding payments:
Client-level is for when your clients use QBO for their accounting, and your practice has been allowed access to each of those.
You will first need to enable QBO at a practice-level, then on the new “QuickBooks” tab you'll need to enable the sub-feature “Client-level integration”:
Having done this, each Senta client now has its own “Quickbooks” tab (as distinct from the “Sales ledger” tab), which will initially have a “Connect with QBO” button, which will take you to Quickbooks, where you can select which client accounts you want to connect to:

The Pensions Regulator
When you complete the payroll details form as part of the "payroll setup" job for a client, when you first add the payroll service, you will have the option to enter an HMRC employer reference. If you then select "practice to advise" from the auto enrolment status dropdown, Senta will pick up the staging date automatically from The Pensions Regulator.
The Xero integration in Senta displays the client's executive summary information from the "Xero" tab on the client page:
Organisation and user data can be imported into Senta from the Xero tab.
Xero currently only allows 30 minute connections to its site through any integration, after which you would need to connect to Xero again, but we hope to offer more integration features in the future when Xero opens up their API further.
