Senta allows you to set up email tasks as part of a Job. You have the option of assigning the email to be sent out by one of your practice users, or if you want it to be sent out automatically, you can assign it to Senta.
By assigning the email to be sent out by one of your practice users, you are assigning them the responsibility of completing the email task. They are now what we call in Senta the assignee. Similarly, if you want the email to be sent out automatically, the assignee will be Senta.
Within an email task setup, you also need to define a sender which is what the recipient of the email will see as who the email is coming from.
In many cases, the assignee and the sender will be the same person. For example, you can set the assignee of the email task to be a specific practice user and also set the sender of the email as the same person.
In some cases, however, the email assignee and sender will have to differ. For example, you might have a practice user who is responsible for dealing with email communications and is completing email tasks on behalf of all the account managers within the practice. In this case, you can set the assignee to be the practice user and the sender as the account manager who is doing work for the recipient.
Setting Senta to be the assignee
One of the most common cases where the assignee will have to be different from the sender is when you want the email to be sent automatically, by Senta. Senta doesn't have its own email address and for this reason, the sender of the email will have to be a user within the practice.
If you want to set Senta as an assignee for an email task, you should not choose the option of assignee from the sender drop-down list. In this case:
