Quite often a client will have two or more companies and you'll be adding them as a contact on each of them.  You might wonder how this works when you want that client to use the client portal.


When you activate a contact for their first company, you will see a message letting you know the user has been sent an activation email, and they will be sent an activation email:



When you activate a client for their second (or subsequent) company, they are not sent an activation email, as long as they have the same email address as the other contact. Instead, this new company is associated with their existing login. You will see a message letting you know that contact can now switch to this company:

When they log into their Senta portal, they will see a drop down menu top right of the screen which will allow them to switch between their various company (or individual) profiles:





Once a profile has been selected, the client will only see tasks, documents and things they must do related to that profile. 


There is no limit to the number of different profiles a contact can have - you just need to activate the contact on all of their records on your practice side of Senta, ensuring each one has the same email address entered.
