There are several different tab types you can add to your forms. They will each display certain fields from within Senta automatically.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Introduction

For the most part, you will probably just be using the 'Form' tab type, however if you wish to restructure your client records or create break-out forms for clients, it can be useful to understand the properties of the various tab types.

All of the available tab types in Senta are used in the default Client Details form, which can be found by going to:

Settings > Forms

Master Forms > Client Details

Form

A standard form tab type for adding fields. Forms can be employed to collect information from clients, or used as part of internal Jobs to record information within your practice.

To create a Form tab type go to:

+Add tab

Then, create form and add relevant fields. For example, you can populate the form with a date type field to record date information:

And press Save.

The Form tab type will appear within the Client's page:

You can then populate the Form tab with information by going to Edit and filling out any relevant information (for example date):

And then press Save.

You can then view the information by clicking on the tab:

Work

This tab will show a list of all Jobs and tasks in process for a client. This includes both ad hoc and recurring jobs and also ad hoc tasks.

Also, both ad hoc jobs and ad hoc tasks can be kicked off via the Work tab.

Any recurring jobs kicked off via the Services tab will also appear under the Work tab.

Emails

This tab will show a list of email threads with a client.

Once you integrate your email service with Senta, the system will scan your email folders and will display any current and

historical email communication between your practice and any client's contacts email addresses. You can exchange email communication directly from the email tab without the need to log in to your email service.

Contacts

This will show a list of contacts for a client.

You can add multiple contacts for a client by going to Contacts > Edit > Add contact

You can also send both ad hoc emails and ad hoc texts via the Contacts tab if you enter a valid email address and mobile phone number for your Contact.

AML checks for your contacts are also performed through the Contacts tab. Our guide to the AML check feature explains in detail how this feature works.

Furthermore, In order for a client to be able to use the Client Portal, you will need to activate them via the Contacts tab. The client will receive an email inviting them to set up a password in order to access their Senta account.

Additional actions tab that you can perform via the Contacts tab is the option to create an Individual type of client from an existing contact

You can also link those 2 contacts together so your client can seamlessly switch between their Client portal profiles as Individual and as a Contact of another client. For example, you might interact with an individual who is a contact on a client company, say, a director, and yet is also a private client for their own personal tax return.

More information on this topic is available on our Client-contact linking guide.

This will show a list of available services to choose from, and details of any selected services.

To select a service go to Services/payment tab > Edit > Tick and select from the available list of Services
